When you commit mistakes, what do you usually hear from your folks? As a precaution, you are always reminded using pithy sayings. What do you call these pithy sayings? Our ancestors, being really smart, have lines tailor fitted to every occasion.
PITHY SAYINGS = PROVERBS (SALAWIKAIN) Situation In a meeting, the leader brought up the issue on tardiness. To caution everyone that it’s meant to address the body and not just a particular person in the group, the leader resorts to a proverb. ACTIVITY : TEACH ME THROUGH A PROVERB Count off from 1 -5 and form groups according to your numbers. As a group, dramatize the situations that follow. End the 3 -minute presentation with a proverb or salawikain to highlight the moral or lesson in the following situations:
