Maternal Psychiatry Resource Network (Moms. PRN) Overview New collaboration between the RIDOH and Women

Maternal Psychiatry Resource Network (Moms. PRN) Overview New collaboration between the RIDOH and Women & Infants Hospital. • Modeled after Pedi. PRN & funded by HRSA. • Focused on practices seeing pregnant and postpartum women. • Goal is to promote universal screening, referral, and treatment for behavioral health and substance use disorders.

Moms. PRN Supports & Services The Center for Women’s Behavioral Health at Women and Infants Hospital will provide the following staffing and services for Moms. PRN: Resource and Referral Specialist (Eva Ray, MSW, LCSW) Perinatal Psychiatrists and Psychologists • Call intake and triage • Scheduling assistance with behavioral experts • • Care coordination, including connections to treatment and recovery support • Same day psychiatric consultation services Diagnostic support • Treatment planning • Medication and dosage recommendations • Advisement about prescription concerns Continuing Education • Promotion of education opportunities, including CME programs on maternal behavioral health topics

PRN Practice Engagement Levels Eligible* Outreached Enrolled Call intake and triage Care coordination assistance Same day psychiatric consultation, including screening advisement, diagnostic support, treatment planning, and medication and dosage advice CME sessions about maternal behavioral health topics Practice needs assessment Practice site visit Provider self-assessment Practice contract for infrastructure funds Behavioral health workflow mapping and quality improvement testing Assistance with behavioral health screening documentation, reporting, and billing *Most pediatric practices will fall into the eligible category.

PRN include: • Assistance with maternal behavioral health screening matters. • Guidance with maternal depression, anxiety, and substance use disorder diagnosis, assessment, and treatment, including referrals. • Will connect and promote Pedi. PRN complimentary services when appropriate.

PRN General Information • Launching later this summer and will be available statewide for health care providers, including pediatricians. • Health care providers can call 401 -430 -2800 Monday-Friday during business hours for same day consultation. • Reminder this is not a crisis line, does not provide direct treatment to patients, or prescribe medications.

Pedi. PRN Updates Pedi. PRN has been awarded a HRSA grant in partnership with RIDOH Currently: • 64 Total Practices Enrolled • 93% of practices utilizing Pedi. PRN • 370 Total Providers Enrolled • 46% of providers utilizing Pedi. PRN Since HRSA Funding 9/1/18: • Pedi. PRN has had 219 Encounters serving 180 Children. • Type: 92% Phone with PCP 21% Care Coordination 4% Face to Face Evaluation • Reason for Contact: 74% Medication Consultation 25% Resources-Community Access 9% Diagnostic Consultation

Pedi. PRN Updates • Pedi. PRN Intensive Program (PIP) • In-depth training in child mental health topics. 17 Pediatric Providers are participating in the 10 -session certificate program with CMEs.
