Join professional organizations you are interested in (ACP, ACR) 1. Apply for residency in either: a. Internal Medicine = 3 year program b. Pediatrics = 3 year program 1. Apply for fellowship in Rheumatology a. 2 -3 year programs b. Some have research opportunities 1. Practice as a rheumatologist
