RGMA / Ofgem Switching Programme § Opportunity to discuss the E 2 E RGMA functionality in light of the Ofgem Switching Programme § The following slide deck highlights some area for discussions § § It is not intended to limit discussion – if other areas are impacted please highlight Suggested topic areas: § § Switching timescales and Registered User validation in UK Link systems Recording of MAP Id in UK Link systems 1
Switching timescales and Registered User validation in UK Link systems

Shipper Obligations § “Whenever a Supply Meter Installation is replaced or modified the Registered User shall provide to the CDSP, Meter Information in accordance with paragraph 4. ” (UNC M 2. 1. 8) § “Supply Meter Installation” is: § the meter and associated equipment and installations installed or to be installed at a consumer's premises, including associated pipework, regulator filters, valves, seals, and mountings” (M 1. 2. 2 (a)) § “Meter Information” is § the information in relation to a Supply Meter Installation, comprising the details set out in the UK Link Manual, including but not limited to: (i) the location of the Supply Meter Installation at the Supply Point Premises; (ii) number of dials and serial numbers of the Supply Meter and any convertor; (iii) meter access details; and (iv) C&D Information 4

Registered User Validation § Validation is applied to ensure that the transaction is received from the relevant Shipper User – NB: assumes other date validations are not failed Shipper Status @ Comments Processing Effective Date § RQ RQ Accepted, if no other User at LI at Effective Date (ED) CO RQ Accepted, if no other User at LI @ ED LI RQ Accepted, if no User at CO or LI @ ED (following implementation xrn 4534 – November 2018 Release – rejected prior to this change) LI CO Accepted for JOB, following xrn 4534 UPDs will also be accepted LI LI Accepted SU LI Accepted Unchanged since Nexus Implementation 7
Shipper Obligations … § So what does the UK Link Manual require: § Meter Information Notification = JOB transaction § Meter Information Update Notification = UPD transaction § Details recorded on the Supply Meter Installation can be identified from the Asset Class Codes (A 0024) in the ASSET segment in the JOB / UPD: § § § Meter (Allowable Values: METER / MTRIN) Converter (CONVR) Bypass (BYPAS) IHD (IHD) AMR Device (AMR) Datalogger Device (DTLGR) *only if provided by the GT as a result of the bundled DM Reading Service) – Note, dataloggers are maintained on UK Link by DMSP rather than RGMA flows JOB – link here: https: //xoserve. sharepoint. com/: w: /r/sites/UKLink/_layouts/15/Doc. aspx? sourcedoc=% 7 BEFC 05 FA 1 -6 F 8 F-408 A-8 E 9 EA 2 E 15 DB 264 CD%7 D&file=ONJOB_Dataset_V 13. 2 L. docx&action=default&mobileredirect=true UPD – link here: https: //xoserve. sharepoint. com/: w: /r/sites/UKLink/_layouts/15/Doc. aspx? sourcedoc=% 7 B 7 C 55 A 14 F-DF 93 -4 A 22 -980 AA 78 BBD 757 D 03%7 D&file=ONUPD%20 Dataset%20 V 13. 2 L. docx&action=default&mobileredirect=true 8
Irrelevant Data § Some aspects of RGMA transactions are not relevant to UK Link systems § Irrelevant Datasets § Will be disregarded, and will not cause the transaction to reject provided that: § The irrelevant dataset is formatted correctly § The irrelevant dataset is in the correct position within the transaction Proposed notation to highlight to Users which datasets are not relevant: § Unchanged since Nexus Implementation § Note: MKPRT dataset may provide Meter Asset Provider information 9
Shipper Obligations … § So, to summarise…. § Within 6 Supply Point System Business Days of (mostly read this as Business Days) on which the Registered User receives Meter Information in respect of the installation, removal, exchange or repositioning of a Supply Meter Installation Shippers should update the Meter Information in UK Link using: § JOB transaction where this relates to Meter Work under Schedule 2 B of the Gas Act § UPD transaction where it does not § This should contain the relevant information as defined in the UK Link Manual (i. e. conform to the structure and form of the JOB or UPD transaction respectively) § Do timings of this need to change due to the Ofgem Switching Programme? 10

Recording MAP Id in UK Link systems
XRN 4780 - MAP Id § § A Change Proposal has been raised to add MAP Id to UK Link systems Initial discussions on requirements started § § Who provides initial data load for migration? Who is responsible for providing MAP Id in ongoing operation? When do we expect to receive information on amended MAP Id? Who needs to be informed when a MAP Id changes? § UK Link systems required to hold METER asset provider information only. § MAPs master ownership based on ASSET serial number § Typically industry flows would use Meter Point Reference Number § ‘Mastering’ of data against MPRN is more commonplace 13
XRN 4780 - MAP Id § Currently Meter Asset Provider data is passed in MKPRT dataset in JOB and UPD transactions § MAPs have indicated that they tend to receive notification of asset installation § § Less updates are understood to follow other physical jobs / updates of information We are looking at solution options, preliminary findings: § § § MAP Id to be provided by MAPs against ASSET data Utilise RGMA flows to create the ASSET to MPRN linkage Notify MAPs on ASSET to MPRN (and location) association § Views? § We will need to look at scenarios / potential exception processes where discrepancies arise 14
