RGB Rules RGB Lighting displays are complex deliveries that incorporate the flow of both DATA and Power. In order to achieve full effects, and obtain proper working order, power and data must be managed appropriately. The following set of rules will satisfy 90% of situations you may encounter and will reduce the occurrence of field issues that translate into displays - Freezing Displaying inconsistent effects Non working sections Other “Unidentified” Errors.
RGB Rules 1. 100 RGB C 7 s = 3. 5 AMPs 2. 100 RGB Lamps MAX in an aggregate run. You may split them w T-way. Data issues beyond this length (must use sender/Receiver beyond 100) 3. 20 feet MAX before first bulb from the Mini Controller (or must use Sender/Receiver) 4. Sender & Receiver - Used in conjunction with a 4 WIRE SPACER (25, 50 lengths) - Sender/Receiver & 4 Wire Spacer should be <300 GROSS feet - Sender/Receiver may be “split” with T-way as long as total aggregate length is under 300 feet - 1. Use when 1 st bulb over 20 feet away from mini controller - 2. Use to Inject Data When aggregate run over 100 feet
RGB Rules » ALL Projects require a detailed project map with the following data: ˃ ˃ ˃ Power Requirements - Total Bulb counts Times. 035 Amps Primary Power Location Designated Measurements of EVERY roof straight edge segment Define contiguous segments Crew must Have Adequate Supply of: + RGB Lights (2, 5, 10, 25 lights sets) + Spacers (5, 10, 20’ lengths) + Sender/Receivers w/ 4 Wires Spacer (length) + Power Supplies (likely only need one 30 Amp but 2 -5 Five Amp transformers) + Mini Controller (Location & Model) + Data Signal Directional Flow Final Products needs determined on site so a variety of lengths of lights and spacers are key.
Key Connections If lights added here can only total 100 Max Sender/Receiver – When data over 100 feet from last light Mini Controller T-Way Lights Spacer DA TA MP 5 A ER W PO Spacer T-Way More Power 100 RGB Lights Max ADD POWER

RGB Design Guidlines RGB Lamps aesthetically perform best on roof lines, both fascia and ridge and stake lighting, effectively the top and bottom spectrum of a lighting job. » Identify the best flow for the job - think of everything in a ‘chasing’ mindset 1. Right/left – Blake Roof 2. Center cascade – Blake Stakes 3. Top/ bottom – Massengale Projects » Group fascia and ridge lines of similar shape and length follow the afore determined “flow” (never over 100) » Group stake lighting of similar shape and length » Match color to ˃ Customer preference ˃ Holiday ˃ Event » Select motion to ˃ Customer preference ˃ situation
