Revolutionary War Timeline By Julia Rudyak
Boston Massacre Happened between the Patriots and the British soldiers on March 5 th 1770 in the Boston customs house. Shots were fired at colonists without any orders from their captain and killed 5 colonists in the Massacre.
Boston Tea Party On December 16 th 1773 almost 10, 000 pounds of tea were dumped into the Harbor. This action was made by the upset colonists because the British Parliament was taxing some imported items, causing many of the locals to lose jobs. Colonists also worried that taxes on tea will mean that more taxes will be enforced.
Battle of Lexington and Concord On April 19 th 1775 the colonists finally had decided they should break away from the British Empire. The shot that was heard around the world was the start of the Revolutionary War in the battle of Lexington and Concord.
Battle of Saratoga The Battle of Saratoga consisted of 3 different battles. The whole Battle happened because the British had a plan but they trapped by the Colonists, leaving them with no another option but to surrender at one point. It was the turning point in the Revolutionary War because finally the colonists were in the lead. 1 st Battle September 19 th 1777 2 nd Battle October 7 th 1777 3 rd Battle October 17 th 1777
Treaty of Paris The Treaty of Paris was signed on February 6 th 1778. America and France became allies, also invited other countries like Spain to become allies with them. The treaty of Paris was the final document of the separation from the British Parliament.
