Jack Coe 1918 -1956 • Being part of the massive healing movement that followed World War II, Jack Coe broke stereotypes for what an evangelist can be. • 7 th child of George Henry and Blanche Coe, he was born Oklahoma City and abandoned to grow up in an orphanage. He was a heavy drinker as he joined the action of World War II. A miracle healing took place saving him and shortly after, he was ordained a Assemblies of God minister (1944) and began to preach while still serving in World War II.

Jack Coe 1918 -1956 • Dallas Revival Centre. Guests: AA Allen, OL Jaggers, Gayle Jacksons, WV Grant, and Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship International– Demos Shakarian. In 2 years, it grew to be one of the largest Dallas, TX churches. • 1955 Miami campaign, a boy with polio didn’t appear to be healed. Coe was jailed for practicing medicine without a license. 2 -day trial, major preachers testified. The judge dismissed the case saying that he could not condemn advocacy or the practice of Divine Healing.

Jack Coe 1918 -1956 • He ran a tortuous schedule. Jack Coe showed symptoms and let his wife hospitalize him. He was diagnosed with bulbar polio and age 38, he died. • His wife Juanita Coe continued his ministry doing healing campaigns, over saw the childrens’ home he founded which now had 60 boys and girls and foreign missions. She also continued publishing the international Healing magazine for years.

T L Osborn 1923 -2013 • Tommy Lee Osborn was one of 13 children from Oklahoma. • He accepted Christ when he was 13 and became friends with Oral Roberts. • T. L. helped Roberts with meetings where Oral did the preaching and T. L. did just about everything else including playing an accordion. • T. L. is out hunting milk cows when God called him to preach.

She and her 8 siblings lived though her dad being murdered, her mom and sister dying in a car accident, and 2 brothers committed suicide. • She accepted Christ at age 12 and by age 18, 1942, she married TL who was 18. • They were pastor/evangelists with a heart for missions. They struggled to make connection with the Lord.

From that time on, he only wanted the glory of Jesus. • They attended a meeting run by William Branham. T. L. was weeping seeing the blind able to see, deaf hearing and crippled walking. He heard a 1000 voices saying “you can do that too”.

T L Osborn 1923 -2013 • Where ever they ministered dramatic miracles and healings followed. In Thailand 100 people saw Jesus walking through the crowds. • They set up pastor training and supported over 30, 000 local pastors and the gospel preached in 50, 000 villages.

T L Osborn 1923 -2013, Daisy Washburn Osborn 1924 -1995 • By the 1980 s they traveled to over 70 nations with large crusades. Their meetings were translated to 67 languages and their many books were published in 132 languages.

Kathryn Kuhlman 1907 -1976 • I Believe in Miracles! • Kathryn Johanna Kuhlman born 1907 in Concordia Missouri. One of 4 children, her parents were Germans. Unaffectionate mother, but loving father, she found it easy to see how God could be a loving Father. • She accepted Christ at age 14 in a small Methodist church. After she graduated high school which went to 10 th grade, 16 year old Kathryn went with her sister and evangelist Everett B. Parrott for five years before stepping out on her own. By 1935, the church she birthed, Denver Revival Tabernacle, had 2000 members.

• Kathryn Kuhlman 1907 -1976 • Through her radio show, she met Burroughs Waltrip. He was charismatic and handsome, married with 2 children. He divorced his wife and 1938 married Kathryn. It was a disaster. His ministry failed and she had to turn hers over to others. They divorced 1947. • She describes it as the hardest decision of her life –Jesus or her marriage. She died to self, lost everything before regaining it all – in Christ. • 1947 her first notable miracle took place with a lady being healed of a tumor, as she preached.

Kathryn Kuhlman 1907 -1976 • The 10 year Healing Revival also called the Latter Rain Revival began in 1947. • Her style was flamboyant. She would hold her famous miracle services and the auditorium was filled to capacity every time. She was on radio and television shows. She was ordained in 1968 by the Evangelical Church Alliance. • Including Billy Burke, 1000 s were healed in her meetings, and even while listening to her on the radio or television. People she prayed for would often be hit with the power of God and be "slain in the Spirit. "

 • Kuhlman never claimed that she was the healer. She always pointed people

She always pointed people to Jesus as their healer. • So many lives were changed because of her ministry. • Kuhlman was diagnosed with a heart problem in 1955. She kept a very busy schedule and overworked, especially in the 1970’s. • She traveled back and forth from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles frequently, as well as taking trips around the world. She died on February 20, 1976, in Tulsa, following open-heart surgery

• James Gordon Lindsay 1906 -1973 • Born into a home with healing and Pentecostals, he grew up following John Alexander Dowie, the Scottish healing evangelist. After Dowie’s ministry failed, they moved to the west coast. He accepted Christ at a meeting held by Charles Parham and became friends then travelled with John G. Lake during the era Lake had opened Divine Healing Missions in Spokane WA and Portland, OR. • Lindsay became a pastor of churches and in 1947, he became William Branham’s campaign manager. To promote Branham, he began the Voice of Healing magazine (later called Christ for the Nations magazine).

James Gordon Lindsay 1906 -1973 • Branham stepped away for a rest. Lindsay had a floundering magazine with no one to feature. Jack Coe came on as co -editor and helped guide the magazine. Jack, Oral Roberts and many others were featured. • Lindsay wrote 250 books and pamphlets, started a radio show, and organized the sending of ministers worldwide.

Lester Sumrall 1913 -1996 • He was the 6 th of 8 children. • His Christian mother was an amazing prayer warrior and she prayed Lester would be a preacher. • She prayed off breast cancer. Jesus came into her room and healed her! • She led Lester’s grandfather to the Lord and from being in a wheelchair, her praying ladies got him walking, whole. He would live another 15 years.

On his 17 thbirthday, the doctor wrote out his death certificate. • As his mother prayed that night, Lester had a vision of a coffin or a Bible. Choose to preach or die of tuberculosis. • He chose to preach. • The next morning he ate breakfast, his first in a while, and in 3 weeks hit the trail to begin preaching.

 • 17 year old Lester was preaching and he was well liked. The

God showed him a vision of people in other nations going to hell. • His heart was broken for the lost that night and God called him to be an international evangelist that would go worldwide. • 18 months later, he connected with Howard Carter. They saw the world -Howard preaching in one place and Lester to another.

It was so dramatic that papers everywhere carried the story. A hungry city attended his six weeks of revival meetings with as many as 60. 000 in a meeting. Clifton Erickson came over to help out. • 150, 000 were saved. Lester Sumrall 1913 -1996 • A famous actor who couldn't walk was healed which gave the group even more media attention. A lawyer who'd been on crutches for twelve years walked out holding them in his arms totally healed.

He aired all over the US and the world. • He also started a ministry to feed the starving worldwide after God gave him a vision calling him to care for the dying. He remained faithful to the visions God gave him and went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 1996.
