Charismatic Movement CFAN Rodney Howard Browne John Wimber, The Vineyard

• Christ for All Nations --78, 800, 704 Salvation Decision Cards– and counting! • Reinhard Bonnke held great Gospel Crusades throughout the Continent of Africa. The son of a pastor, Reinhard accepted Christ age 9. He heard the call to the African mission field before he was even a teenager. • Evangelist George Jeffreys prayed, anointing Reinhard as what may have been Jeffreys final gifting. Before Reinhard even got home, Jeffreys was with the Lord.

• Reinhard --Bible College in Wales, Ordained in Germany. Pastored a church then went to work in Africa. • In the small mountain kingdom of Lesotho, God placed upon his heart the vision of ‘the continent of Africa, being washed in the precious Blood of Jesus’ — an entire continent, from Cape Town to Cairo and from Dakar to Djibouti needed to be reached, to hear the Gospel. •

• Evangelist Bonnke began holding meetings in a 800 person tent and larger tents soon had to be purchased. • In 1984, he commissioned the construction of the world’s largest tent — 34, 000 people! (Jack Coes tent seated 22, 000) Soon attendance exceeded this tent • He began open-air Gospel Campaigns with an initial gathering of over 150, 000 people per service! He moved to using towering sound systems that can be heard for miles to accommodate his city-wide meetings across the continent with as many as 1, 600, 000 people attending a single meeting.

• Reinhard Bonnke founded the international ministry of Christ for all Nations (Cfa. N), which currently has offices in 11 nations. • Hosted ‘Fire Conferences’ that equip church leaders and workers for evangelism; ‘Full Flame Film Series, ’ 8 films aimed to walk out Holy Spirit evangelism.

• In 2007 a young evangelist joined Cfa. N and started preaching before Reinhard at some of the campaigns. Reinhard commented, “I saw this young man preaching and knew that he had the heart of an evangelist. ” • Reinhard would preach 1 or 2 meetings and Daniel would preach the rest. Reinhard had found his successor.

• Passing the torch – 2019: Daniel Kolenda • As President and CEO of Christ for all Nations, Kolenda is committed to the Gospel and maximizing use of every technology and opportunity God gives for winning souls worldwide. Launching into many new countries in Africa in answer to calls for help from the churches, 100 s of churches and 16 working groups are unifying to continue making thiss possible.

Adonica and Rodney Howard Browne • 18 years old: “God, I want your fire!” • 1981: Southern Africa. God told them “Stir up the churches and tell them to get ready for the coming revival. ” • 1996 Birthed a church Tampa, FL, 3000 members, founded Bible Institute. Crime rate in his town went down by 50%. • Great Awakening Tour: 1998, Madison Square Gardens, 6 weeks. 48, 000 saved. More events, 100 s of 1000 s saved. • 2007 1. 1 million saved. 31, 000 believers trained. Total global soul count: more than 4 million

• Founder of The Vineyard (Anaheim, CA): John Wimber began to pray 9 months for healings with no visible results although the worship and evangelism attracted many people. Then healings began to happen and became a regular part of Vineyard ministry. • John Wimber summarized their story: • “Beginning some time in September of 1976, Bob Fulton, Carol Wimber, Carl Tuttle, along with others, began assembling at the home of Carl Tuttle’s sister. The agenda was simple: praying, worshipping and seeking the Lord. • By the time I came several months later, the Spirit of God was already moving powerfully. There was a great brokenness and responsiveness in the hearts of many.

• God began dealing with me about healing, and began demonstrating it with conversions. • Lonnie Frisbee who came to us as a Calvary Chapel evangelist and pastor, was used mightily in the Jesus People Movement. • We didn’t know he was having private challenges including dropping acid on Saturday nights but what we did know was on Mother’s Day [1980 ], the Lord told me, “Ask that young man to give his testimony tonight. ”

• That night, after he gave his testimony, Lonnie asked the Holy Spirit to come and the repercussions were incredible. • The Spirit of God literally knocked people to the floor and shook them silly. Many people spoke in tongues, prophesied or had visions. • This was His answer to our prayers. Many people spoke in tongues, prophesied or had visions.

• “Over the next few months, 100 s and 100 s of people came to Christ as the result of the witness of the individuals who were touched that night, and in the aftermath. The church saw approximately 1, 700 converted to Christ in a period of about three months. • This opened doors to minister around the world. Thus the Vineyard renewal ministry and the Vineyard movement were birthed. ”

Word of Faith

Word of Faith Movement began in mainly Pentecostal and Charismatic churches. E. W. Kenyon (1867 -1948), Grandfather of Word of Faith movement: he preached God would award gifts if the faithful would ask. Kenyon coined the phrase, "What I confess, I possess. “ Kenneth E. Hagin is the Father of the modern Word of Faith movement.

Word of Faith Beginnings Kenneth E. Hagin got this from the Lord: "Say it; do it; receive it; tell it. “ Hagin Sr told Joseph Martin a lot of his theology came from the Pentecostal Evangel –Martin said, I went to Springfield, MO and pulled every article for him - they were hard core Faith and Healing teachings.

Word of Faith • The core values of word of faith: confession; authority of the believer which came from the CMA Christian missionary alliance group – and Hagin framed in his teachings • Historically every old “wave” seemed to get shocked at the new incoming wave. The Assemblies of God church issued a paper against the Word of Faith movement. Yet, as time passed, Joseph Martin said the General Superintendent said to Hagin at a meeting in Tulsa --privately-- you are teaching what we used to. Publicly no formal recanting was issued, yet what followed was AOG schools accepting Rhema classes through transfer articulation agreements - including the Pentecostal Holiness denomination.

Word of Faith Excerpt of a prophecy: For the word of the Lord came unto me saying, "The prophetic vision shall be restored unto the church, for even in the days of old under the old covenant the prophet would see by vision and prophesy, and so the prophetic vision shall be restored unto the church. And this is the time, and this is the hour, and this is the place. “

• The Bible is the inspired Word of God. Our God is One, but manifested in three Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. • Salvation is the gift of God to man through faith in Jesus Christ. The New Birth is necessary to all men. When experienced, produces eternal life. • The Baptism in the Holy Ghost is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues. We believe in living a life of holiness. • Healing is the privilege of every member of the Church today

Kenneth Copeland Faithful, Humble, Charismatic Founder: Victory Network • Revivals with Kenneth Copeland? You will travel everywhere. It’s the same to him if he is ministering to one person or millions. • Since the 1970 s, he has walked out partnership with 1000 s including Oral Roberts, FGBMFI, and CFAN (that brought in over 100 million souls to Christ. )

• “Jesus is LORD” (Romans 10: 9) Also Apostle Paul--shortest salvation message on record –”Lord!” • From his RRTV interview: • Stay in the Word. Pray in the Spirit as God leads you– 5 minutes, a hour --let Him guide you. • Love. Forgive. Walk in faith. • Big problem to deal with? 3 day fast has been his go-to fast time period for big answers. • Be Bold: Faith, Mission.

Kenneth Copeland • God Assignment: preach the gospel of Jesus Christ from the top of the world to the bottom and all the way around — without compromise. • Commission: get the message out that Jesus is LORD on every available voice. • Our Purpose: To mature believers worldwide in the use of their faith. Romans 8: 28

• Our Vision: To see Christians experiencing the fullness of THE BLESSING, which includes divine healing, supernatural prosperity, the God kind of love and more. To see believers operating skillfully in God’s Word, being well-trained to discern good and evil. Habakkuk 2: 2 • Our Mission: To minister the Word of Faith, by teaching believers who they are in Christ Jesus, and by taking them from the milk of the Word to the meat of the Word, and from religion to reality. Matthew 28: 19

Kenneth Copeland: FAITH: Have a cookie! • God has provided faith for us! Let’s look at these six statements The LORD spoke to me: • I believe, I will, I take it, I have it, I thank you for it it, I forgive.

1. I believe -- Declaration of faith. 2. I will—bringing the will in line with faith. 3. I take it. --Remember Mark 11: 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. The Greek word translated receive is lambano. It means “to take with the hand, lay hold of, ” or “to take in order to carry away. ” Jesus was saying to me, I’m offering you My faith—TAKE IT, IT’S YOURS! ” 4. I have it. – possession and ownership is important. I don’t “HAVE, ” or “OWN, ” sickness. Sickness is part of the curse of the law. Jesus has redeemed me from the curse. Therefore, I “HAVE, ” or “OWN, ” healing, good health.

Word of Faith 5. I thank You for it. --Praise God, I have it! Think about this: When we pray, we come into His presence. When we praise, He comes into ours! Look at Psalm 22: 3: But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. 6. I forgive. --This one is the most important of all. All the other five statements are dependent on it. Faith will not work in an unforgiving heart. • Look at Mark 11: 25: And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive your trespasses.

• These same six I’s of faith can, and should, be applied to receiving victory over financial problems, family problems or anything else the enemy is trying to steal from you. Meditate on these things. Apply them. The victory is yours. Take it! • Say: “Brother Copeland, I believe. I will. I take it. I have it. I thank You for it, Jesus, and I forgive if I have aught against any. ”

• Bethel Church, Redding, CA. Bill Johnson 5 th-generation pastor and his wife, Beni have a network of churches partnered for revival. They cross denominational lines. • The present move of God has brought Bill into a deeper understanding of the phrase “thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, ” and doing only what Jesus saw His Father doing. • Bill demonstrates recognizing the Holy Spirit’s presence and following His lead to powerfully do the works of Christ, while destroying the works of the devil.

• Bill and his church family regularly see healings in areas ranging from cancer to broken bones to learning disorders to emotional trauma. Bill teaches that believers need to take this anointing into schools, the workplace and their neighborhoods with similar results. • We owe the world an encounter with God, he says, and a gospel with power is what Jesus preached. Healing and deliverance must become the common expression of this Gospel of power. Bill and Beni have three children and nine wonderful grandchildren.

• Randy Clark is best known for helping spark the move of God now affectionately labeled “the Toronto Blessing. ” • He continues, with great tenacity, to demonstrate the Lord’s power to heal the sick. His message is simple: “God wants to use you. ” • John Wimber heard God speak audibly that Randy would one day go around the world laying his hands on pastors and leaders to impart gifts of the Holy Spirit.

• In 1994, in the early days of the outpouring of the Spirit in Toronto, Wimber called Randy and told him what God had shown him about Randy --was beginning now. • Randy ministers cross denominationally. His co-author, Bill Johnson, says the fastest way to increase in the supernatural is to accompany Randy on an international trip.

• Franklin Graham conducted 1 st evangelistic event in 1989 and now conducts Crusades, called Festivals. • As CEO of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association he created Decision America Tours. • It calls people to pray and to engage in local civic opportunities in each of the 50 U. S. capitals. • Since 1989: 190 evangelistic events in 50 states and U. S. territories, 49 countries.

• Jesus Image exists to bring Jesus to the world, by the power of the Holy Spirit. We want this reality to permeate our hearts and lives as we love Him. Michael has one desire: to love Jesus and introduce Him to as many people as possible. He travels the world ministering, praying for the sick, and teaching the Word of God. Michael’s authored four books. • Jessica Koulianos, (Benny Hinn’s daughter) is a marked by genuineness and depth. She serves as the Director of Jesus School, walks in the prophetic, wisdom and insight. She loves to release others to step into their breakthrough.

In this current Awakening, the move of God is coming in many new ways and faces: • Michael Miller of the Upper Room • Michael and Lorisa Miller started a prayer meeting in a small upstairs office space overlooking downtown Dallas in April of 2010. • From that initial meeting in an “upper room” God has birthed a movement of prayer and worship in Dallas that continues to grow today. • UPPER ROOMs have since been planted around the United States and internationally. The Miller’s are passionate about building vibrant community marked by and centered on encountering the Presence of God. • Michael has been in full time ministry since 2001 and he and Lorisa have four beautiful children- Hannah, Salem, Freeland, and Truman.
