Background • In 2008, Loblaw Companies Limited began a 5 Year journey to revamp their IT Landscape • The core of this effort was 4 major themes: – – Move from Build to Buy Implement SAP Standardize IT across Regions and Banners Centralize IT Workloads, where possible • Many new ITIL disciplines were required: – Capacity Planning was begun in 2009 • Data collection, processing & presentation were developed manually CONFIDENTIAL 2
