CCF ACTIVITIES in LTC HOMES: • CCF Feasibility testing: • CCF Launch Team Training: • CCF SAO Roll-Outs (6): 1 week (March 2010) 2 LTC homes 4 inspectors, (members of Inspection Re-design Team) 2 weeks (classroom and field practicum) June 2010 2 LTC homes 10 inspectors (plus 2 SAO Managers) July 5 to Sept 23, 2010 11 LTC homes All inspectors and SAO Managers trained 3

RQI ACTIVITIES in LTC HOMES: • RQI Feasibility Testing: • RQI Inspector Certification for Master Trainers (MTs): 4 weeks (May 3 to June 11, 2010) 8 LTC homes 8 inspectors (Master Trainer candidates) with NHQ staff 4 weeks (July 19 to August 27) -1 week classroom and 3 weeks field practicum 6 LTC homes 10 MT candidates with 2 NHQ Trainers 4

RQI ACTIVITIES in LTC HOMES (cont’d): • RQI Master Trainer Certification (2 groups): 1 week Teacher Training (Sept 2010) 5 weeks practice teaching (1 week in class, 4 weeks in field) Extended final mock inspection to 2 weeks Group A (5 MT candidates) October 18 to November 19, 2010 in 6 homes Group B (5 MT candidates) November 29 to January 21, 2011 in 6 homes (3 members of this group elected to do an extra mock inspection in early November in 1 LTC home) 5

RQI ACTIVITIES in LTC HOMES (cont’d): • RQI Inspector Launch Teams (2 groups of 10 inspectors): 5 weeks (1 week in class, 4 weeks in field) Extended final mock inspection to 2 weeks Team #1 (10 inspectors) October 18 to November 19, 2010 in 6 homes Team #2 (10 inspectors) November 29 to January 21, 2011 in 6 homes Trained by Ontario Master Trainers with NHQ Trainers in attendance • RQI SAO Inspector Roll-outs (5): 5 weeks (1 week in class, 4 weeks in field) November 29, 2010 to mid-April 2011 30 LTC homes 10 to 12 Inspectors per roll-out Trained by Ontario Master Trainers 6

On-going RQI Activities: • • • Debriefing visits to LTC homes involved in July/August mock inspections (Donna and Karin) Orientation visits or teleconferences to LTC homes hosting RQI mock inspections Revision of volunteer homes list (posted on ltchomes. net in April 2010) for upcoming RQI activities; communication to sector and affected homes currently being developed Acting on lessons learned from training experiences and feedback from LTC homes and residents On-going consultation with NHQ Continuing development of technology to support inspection process Integrated Assessment Record (IAR) call for volunteer homes On-going fine-tuning and revision of Inspection Protocols Policy work to ensure alignment and currency with processes 8
