Audience Analysis ● ● ● From my audience analysis I found out that portions of my audience love action/thriller movies that capture their attention When looking at the audience analysis I came to the conclusion that the audience values the actor playing in the movie over everything else. This factor is the main eye capturing factor to bring viewers From majority of my audience i got the response of wanting the opening film of a movie to leave you wondering what is going on creating suspense to build up for the rest of the story. The little portion of the audience left chose their bromance films opening to be including two male friends joking around
Notes on Film Opening Fifty Shades of Grey ● ● ● Introduces the scene with a wide shot establishing the setting of the scene Uses slow non-diegetic sound in background music Starts off showing bright colors then goes to a dull color scheme Uses a full shot to track the person while running, starting it off with a close-up on the shoes No words being said to start off, just various actions being done
Notes on Film Opening How Do You Know ● ● ● Goes back and forth between a full shot and close up Very bright lively setting Shows insert shot of a girl picking up a ball Diegetic sound of people clapping in the background Uses a timelapse to go from young age to adult
Conclusion-Film Openings ● ● The romance film openings that I watched were rather different based on the point they were trying to get across. In the film opening of fifty shades of grey the colors used were giving the vibe of dull, dark, and muted using dark grey colors to give off an ominous feel. The film opening from the movie how do you know displayed the total opposite. It used bright colors to create a joyful mood. Both movies used diegetic sound within their film openings. In how do you know they used the sound of people clapping throughout to show she has been praised throughout her life. While in fifty shades of grey they use diegetic sound to show the cars beeping and people talking
