Audience Analysis v I have concluded from my 3 questionnaires that people would most likely be more intrigued to watch a film based on the actors chosen and if the film is action based. The director seems to take a huge role in adults since most movies with well-known directors tend to make million dollar films but students like to focus more on the plot and actors. v My group and I will use this information to choose good actors and an interesting plot to keep the audience engaged during the film opening.

The audience can conclude she is a photographer. v No sound

Conclusion – Film Openings v To conclude all of the 3 film openings I have chosen, every movie has it’s own unique way of introducing the story. “Nerve” used a P. O. V. shot so the audience can feel as if they are a part of the movie. Although the story line isn't given within this opening sequence which isn't engaging, it still leaves the audience with curiosity because of the unique way they presented the scene. v Out of all 3, “The Purge” used a quite different method of introduction. They made sure that a sense of thriller could be felt within just the first few seconds of the film. This was achieved by adding mellow music to completely throw off the acts of violence within the video tapes that were playing which gave the audience a taste of the storyline of the film. The music only made the film creepy which is what any thriller movie wants to achieve. v “Adulterers” is my favorite out of all 3 because within the first few seconds of the film a bible verse is shown about Adultery which sets the story straight away. The camera then points to a sign which shows where the plot is taking place followed by a radio broadcast. This film uses different camera shots throughout the opening scene which left me engaged. After a few seconds of the film establishing the location, the dialogue after confirms that the main character will be committing Adultery.

Film(s) that have influenced us v The two films that have influenced ours are “Adulterers” and “The Purge” v In “Adulterers” they used a tracking shot following cars and a camera tilt to show the sky. We are using these two ideas in our film to camera tilt into the sunset then tilt down to show the car which the girls will be in. We will then do a tracking shot of the car on the way to the club. v In “The Purge” they used music that does not fit with the scene to create a sense of thrill. Within our film, we will use upbeat music during the car ride and in the club while scenes that do not match will play.

Which Film Company would produce our Film? v The company that would produce our film is “Paramount Pictures”. They are well known for making Thriller movies such as “Paranormal Activity”, “Friday The 13 th”, and “ 13 hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi”. This will attract more of an audience because most movies that have made big hits have been produced by this same company. This will only improve the outcome of our film because we are choosing a large company with a lot of fans.
