Detailed Claim Process ① The end user calls Seagate SRS. The HDD serial number

Detailed Claim Process ① The end user calls Seagate SRS. The HDD serial number will indicate that the customer is entitled to a data recovery attempt ② If the customer wishes to have their data recovered, the Seagate SRS agent will complete an online data recovery submission form on the customers behalf (including contact information, valid return shipping address, and email address) ③ The Seagate SRS representative emails the customer the pre paid shipping label (in NA/EMEA, rest of the world ship to collection centers and SRS covers the rest) & get SRS T&C’s acknowledgement. ④ The customer then sends the HDD for recovery to the provided address (Regional SRS lab or receiving center, as applicable) ⑤ When SRS receives the drive at the lab, the customer will be notified via email notification and will be provided a link to their online case tracker. Seagate SRS will also open a case with CSO so they can process the RMA. (RMA then follows standard STX RMA process & lead times) ⑥ SRS data recovery can take approximately 15 business days but the customer will receive email updates: (case received, recovery started, recovery completed, and return shipping information) ⑦ Upon successful recovery the customers data will be returned to them on a storage media that is large enough to hold their data. ⑧ Should the recovery be deemed unsuccessful, Seagate SRS agent will contact the customer directly to indicate the recovery was unsuccessful.
