Reporting Illegal Parking to Birmingham City Council

Where to find the Form

1) Google Search Birmingham City Council 2) Click on the link for BCC Homepage

3) On the homepage select – Roads, travel and parking

4) Click on Report road and pavement issues

5) Scroll down the page for ‘More Highways Issues’ and select report road or pavement obstructions

6) Under the heading ‘obstructions caused by vehicles’ selected the highlighted ‘reported to our Parking section’ which will take you to report an illegally parked vehicle. (take time to read the page to about illegal parking and inconsiderate parking)

7) To complete the form click on the link ‘Report an illegally parked vehicle’

Completing the form

1) On clicking the link for the form you will need to carefully select each option, as you go on you will be given the option to provide details and add any photos of the illegally parked vehicle

Note – If you have selected options from (1) and receive this message. This is not enforceable for Birmingham City Council and West Midlands Police would have the powers to deal with the matter (you can use a self-report form to deal with this on behalf of West Midlands Police – please ask your local neighbourhood team for a self-report form and they will assist you with the process).

2) In this example the option for pavement parking was selected and was adjacent to double yellow lines. The next page will ask you how often this occurs and will ask you to select each option applicable.

3) Next you will be asked for information of the vehicle including where it is, ‘Additional landmark’ specifically outside an address and/ or at a junction of a road. You also have the option to add photos of the vehicle which is illegally parked – in this example it would be a vehicle clearly parked on the pavement, double yellow lines would have to be visible and a clear picture of the registration as well as any signs in the locality in relation to parking restrictions.

4) On this page you will be asked to provide details.

5) The final page will review information you have provided. If you need to amend any information click on ‘Previous’ to go back to the relevant page. If the information you have submitted is correct, click submit form.
