Oral Overview FTU: commenti q Due domande ricevute: § Quali sono i “campi errori” introdotti nella sperimentazione di breakdown assistito con ECRH § Si può pensare a Sonda Cherenchov su ITER q Mia impressione in generale buona come reazione all’intervento, avanzate richieste di collaborazione. G. Pucella 25 th IAEA FEC, St. Petersburg 2014, OV/5 -4 4
Original Theory TCV NSTX DIII-D EAST ? SF divertor: secondorder null ( BP 0): – Increases poloidal flux expansion – Multiple strike points G. Pucella EAST No divertor coils (unlike DIII-D and NSTX) Only 12 indipendent PF coils to form SF, considerable fewer than in TCV 25 th IAEA FEC, St. Petersburg 2014, OV/5 -4 5
Risultati presentati q First SF experiments performed on EAST in summer 2014: IP=250 k. A, BT= 1. 8 T, q 95=8, =1. 9, ohmic and with NBI=0. 4 MW: Increase of connection length of 30% and flux expansion of factor 4 with respect to SN configuration ® First observation of possible heat flux reduction in L-mode (to be further investigated) ® G. Pucella 25 th IAEA FEC, St. Petersburg 2014, OV/5 -4 6
Risultati presentati q Plasma current could be futher increaded up to 500 k. A q Next experiments (May – July 2015) devoted to test QSF version of ISOFLUX shape controller, H-mode discharges at low and high current, x-points distance scan G. Pucella 25 th IAEA FEC, St. Petersburg 2014, OV/5 -4 7
