Structure of the letter Reply to offer usually has the following parts: n Opening phrase it expresses thanks for the offer n Request for lower prices, shorter delivery time, better therms of payment, etc. n Closing phrase it expresses hope for revision of the offer ©Lenka Lexová

Opening phrase We thank you for your offer of 10 th March but we are sorry to say that some of the terms are not satisfactory for us. ©Lenka Lexová

Request We could accept your offer only if you reduce your price by 5 per cent. We request you to agree to payment against document instead of by L/C. We are prepared to place an order with you if you shorten the delivery time by one month. ©Lenka Lexová
