Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. ” (Matt 4: 17)

Eph 2: 1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, Eph 2: 2 in which you formerly walked according to the age of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

I Cor 15: 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive. I Cor 15: 23 But each in his own order; Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming,

I Cor 15: 24 then comes the end, when He delivers up the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. I Cor 15: 25 For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. I Cor 15: 26 The last enemy that will be abolished is death.

“The wages of sin is death” (Rom 6: 23)

1. Death A. Death has “already” been conquered “…our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death, and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, … (2 Tim 1: 10)

Heb 2: 14 -15 Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is the devil; and might deliver those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.

I Cor 15: 54 -55 But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? ”

Jn 11: 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, Jn 11: 26 and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? ”

B. Death has “not yet” been done away with Rev 20: 14 And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. Rev 20: 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

2. Sin A. Sin has “already” been conquered

Heb 9: 24 For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; Heb 9: 25 nor was it that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the holy place year by year with blood not his own.

Heb 9: 26 Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. Heb 9: 27 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,

Heb 9: 28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

Rom 6: 6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, that our body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin;

Jn 8: 34 -35 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. And the slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. Jn 8: 36 If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

B. Sin has “not yet” been done away with Rev 21: 27 and nothing unclean and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

3. Satan A. Satan has “already” been defeated

Heb 2: 14 -15 Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is the devil; and might deliver those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.

I Jn 3: 8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

B. Satan has “not yet” been taken out of the picture. Rev 20: 10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Heb 10: 12 -13 But He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time onward until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet.

James 4: 7 Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
