THE BUILD TEAM Who we are and What we do q We are a Barrington-based nonprofit focused on helping families in Northwest Cook and surrounding counties, founded in 2014 q We help clients, struggling with financial and personal burdens, by completing essential home repair projects that enable them to remain in the home they own q We do the repairs at no cost to the family. q With “mostly” free labor and discounted/reusable materials, we can do our repairs at very low cost 3

THE BUILD TEAM Who we are and What we do q Our first project was in the summer of 2014, and as of 7/17 we have repaired 10 homes, with several more currently planned q Over 80 volunteers have participated in our home repairs q We are completely funded by individual donations and grants…with no staff expenses since we are completely volunteer-driven 4

THE BUILD TEAM Our Client Qualifications q Own and reside in their home…no rental properties q Have Homeowners insurance coverage q Reside within northwest Cook and surrounding counties q Falls below medium household income or demonstrates an existing financial burden q Current on mortgage and property tax payments q Demonstrates a need for the requested repairs 5
