Early Head Start Reopening Plan A: ONSITE Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday: Onsite Wednesday: Remote Learning/Teacher Planning/Classroom Cleaning Child learning 8: 00 AM – 2: 30 PM 6 ft. Physical Distancing, as allowable and/or 3 ft. Physical Distancing with masks for children over 2 years old. All meals will be served in classrooms. Plan C: HYBRID If Virginia is in Phase 3: Children will follow Plan A If Virginia is in Phase 2: Children will follow Plan A Plan B: AA/BB Monday & Tuesday: Group A onsite Wednesday: Remote Learning/Teacher Planning/Classroom Cleaning Thursday & Friday: Group B onsite Child learning 8: 00 AM – 2: 30 PM 6 ft. Plan D: REMOTE LEARNING Complete program remote learning If Virginia is in Phase 1: Teachers will use online platforms Scott County Schools feeding program implemented OPTION: SELECTED REMOTE Optional individualized remote learning as requested by parents. See Remote Teaching Policy. Children will participate in at-home lessons provided by Early Head Start teacher. Meals will be offered to each participating child. A remote learning contract is required.

Parents Have Options RETURN TO SCHOOL: ▪ Children will return to school under Plan A and Scott County Public School Head Start will implement all safety guidelines outlined in the Reopening Plan document. ▪ Parents may request for a child to move to the remote option. ▪ If the governor moves Virginia to Phase 1, all children will go to REMOTE learning, which is led by the classroom teacher. REMOTE: ▪ Children will participate in at-home lessons provided by Early Head Start/Head Start teacher. ▪ If remote option is selected, a remote learning contract will be required.

Safety Measures ▪ Staff and children over the age of two should use cloth face coverings when physical distancing cannot be maintained. ▪ Physical distancing ▪ Visitor restrictions ▪ Extra cleaning measures ▪ Maintain same groups of children from day to day ▪ Rooms are physically rearranged to promote individual play ▪ Only toys and materials that can easily be cleaned and sanitized will be used. ▪ Each center will have an isolation area that can be used to isolate a sick child until he/she is picked up.

Cleaning & Disinfecting ▪ Centers will be cleaned thoroughly at the end of the day and on Wednesday, while closed for Remote learning. ▪ Toys that cannot be cleaned and sanitized will not be used. ▪ High touch areas/surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected throughout the day as needed with an EPA approved disinfectant. ▪ During COVID-19, no toys, blankets, or pillows from home will be allowed in the classroom. ▪ Plush toys, stuffed animals, and dress up will not be used.

COVID-19 Health Screening STAFF: ▪ Required to self-evaluate prior to coming to work each day, temperatures will be taken upon arrival. ▪ Program Nurse documenting screenings daily for all staff. CHILDREN: ▪ Temperatures will be taken upon arrival by a staff member wearing appropriate PPE. ▪ Screening forms will be completed and filed in a locked cabinet each day.

COVID-19 ▪ If an employee becomes ill at work they will contact the Program

COVID-19 ▪ If an employee becomes ill at work they will contact the Program Nurse and remain in designated “sick area” until the classroom ratio is met and will seek treatment from his/her doctor to determine when he/she is able to return to work. ▪ If a child becomes ill at the center, he/she will be immediately isolated in designated "sick area” until parent/guardian picks he/she up, surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected after the child has gone home. ▪ SCPSHS will follow the Scott County School Divisions closures as identified by the VDH, Governor’s executive order, or absence percentage suggested by the Local Health Department. ▪ SCPSHS will implement training initiatives to enable employees to recognize the hazards of COVID-19 and train employees in the procedures to minimize these hazards. ▪ Plan D: Remote learning will be implemented if Virginia is placed back in Phase 1 due to COVID-19.
