In Action v A Financial Analyst assisted Grameen App. Lab Uganda (an initiative that fights global poverty through innovative technologies that empower the poor with life-changing information) in a landscape analysis of current and potential mobile money implementations targeting the unbanked population and developed a business case for a new product named ‘me 2 me’ (which sends the client money for future use through the mobile phone). v A group of eight volunteers dedicated 20% of their time over 6 months working closely with various Grameen Foundation staff to develop a marketing strategy to support Grameen Foundation’s activities in Colombia, and a fundraising strategy targeting the Colombian Diaspora in the US. v 5 volunteers contributed 1, 340 hours over the course of 8 months developing a country expansion assessment tool for an initiative led by Oxfam America and World food Programme that supports cash-poor farmers in Ethiopia and wanted to expand to two other countries. The assessment tool was designed to evaluate investment, economic, agricultural and climate risks before a decision to expand could be made.
