WHAT IS REJOICE? To rejoice is to feel joyful, to be delighted, to be filled with joy and gladness To celebrate, jump for joy, exult, triumph, glory, be overjoyed, merry, be on cloud nine and walk on the air! Human rejoicing is only for a period of seconds, maybe minutes, hours or days There is a rejoicing that the LORD wants to teach us!!!

In HIS presence, it the fullness of joy – Psalm 16: 11

When people normally rejoice We normally rejoice… when all is all good and going well When everything seems great and rosy When we have enough to meet our daily need When we get/acquire new things When we receive favour from people…etc What does the Bible say about rejoicing? When we are experiencing difficulty? Does the above scriptures still apply? Our Joy should transcends situations, happenings and events around us. How do we practically do this? ? ?

James 1: 2 -4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Psalm 30: 5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favour lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Romans 5: 1 -4 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
