Struggles / Challenges • There is a lot going on! – In the world – In the Kingdom • How do we “Rejoice Always”? • Is it a state of always being Happy/Rejoicing? – Jm 1: 1 -4 gives perspective to the “consider all joy” • Examples (Not always being in a state of joy) – Paul 2 Cor 11: 28 -29 – Jesus Jn 2: 13 -18 Temple; Mt 26: 36 -29 Garden; Jn 19: 1 -4 Trial – Stephen Act 7: 59 ff • Ecc 3: 3 -4 “a time to mourn, and a time to dance” • NT supports the same thing Mt 5: 4; Rm 12: 15; 2 Cor 2: 6 -7 We are not always in a state of “joy” or “rejoicing”
