Clinical Nurse I (Novice) • New Graduate Nurses: – Completes the RN Residency Program • RN with 6 mos-2 yrs exp. , or an RN who’s been out of acute care nursing for ≥ 5 yrs: – Completes individualized orientation program • Participates in mandatory in-services • Attends 50% of dept. meetings – reads minutes of meetings missed within 1 month of the meeting

May be assigned as Preceptor or Charge Nurse. • Attends 50% of dept. meetings – reads minutes of meetings missed within 1 month of the meeting

Clinical Nurse III (Proficient) Process: • Recommended by Manager to promote from CN II

Clinical Nurse III (Proficient) Process: • Recommended by Manager to promote from CN II to CN III • Complete application and professional portfolio (accepted in October, January, April & July) • Interview with Manager and Director If Approved: • 5% increase in base rate (separate from merit raise)
