Regional Special Education Transportation What is RSET: v RSET stands for Regional Special Education Transportation. ACES developed this initiative to save districts money while safely transporting students to out-of-district placement sites. v Area Cooperative Education Services (ACES) manages all aspects of the RSET initiative including being responsive to requests and concerns from districts, parents, schools and transportation companies.

Regional Special Education Transportation RSET Benefits: v The benefits of the program for the districts are: ü To reduce transportation costs ü To address and alleviate daily parent calls & concerns regarding their child’s transportation needs ü To reduce district work load by managing all facets of the initiative – negotiating the best price from the bus company, ensuring needs are met in a timely fashion, addressing all concerns
