Waiver Update • Updates from CMS • May amend RHP after initial submission; by 10/1/13 for year 3. Not clear if an entity may begin to participate in later years. • DSRIP funds for year 1 will be allocated for anchor administrative costs and DSRIP providers 3

RHP Regions • • • HHSC released a 2 nd draft of the map Map based on comments received from stakeholders RHP should reflect patient flow and geography Comments due no later than April 24 Map will be finalized May 1 Participation is voluntary, but failure to participate will prevent entities from receiving UC or DSRIP pool funds 4

DSRIP Menu of Projects • Draft State DSRIP menu of project options released April 5. • Categories 1 (Infrastructure development) and 2 (Program innovation/redesign) – may choose within each category, projects not mandatory, pay for performance (must meet metrics to get paid). Inpatient or outpatient. Category 3 (Quality improvement)– Some items will be mandatory; others may be selected; participants are paid for reporting initially, then paid for performance (must meet metrics to get paid). Inpatient focused. Category 4 – (Population-focused improvement) – No choice of projects; must report on all; participants paid for reporting only. Inpatient focused. • • 9
