Orientation - Teachers All new teachers and teachers new to T-TESS need a ½

Orientation - Teachers All new teachers and teachers new to T-TESS need a ½ or full day orientation. Required face to face. • Are you going to include experience teachers who previously had a T-TESS orientation? (policy) • How will you ensure late hires have orientation and have Goal Setting and Professional Development Plan (GSPD) submitted to appraiser plus a conference conducted.

Not just observe (+ 2 nd appraisers) • Board Approved Certificate available from Teach for Texas Portal System T-PESS-Job Requirements • Attend 2 day training • Job description includes evaluation or appraise. Student Growth Measures Refinement Year 2016 -17 Roll-out 2017 -18 4 choices/combinations: • Student

Student Growth Measures Refinement Year 2016 -17 Roll-out 2017 -18 4 choices/combinations: • Student Learning Objectives; • Student Portfolios; • Pre and Post-Test results on district-level assessments; or • Value-added data based on student state assessment results. Proposed-Pilot for one more year. All districts required to pilot. Superintendent will need to request a waiver.
