Jump Start and Industry Alignment ➢ Evening and Summer Classes have become the new norm ➢ In many cases, members of Business and Industry are the teachers of the course ➢ Increased partnerships with Business and Industry has helped purchase equipment, materials, and educational resources. ➢ Increase in Dual Enrollment with the LCTCS system ➢ Enhanced student apprenticeships (Ex. DOW sponsors WBR and Iberville students) ➢ Increase in industry sponsored externships and programs for teachers (Ex. BRAC and BASF)

Evolution of CTE Teachers - TODAY Today’s CTE Teachers must remain current in their field and are nationally certified to give Industry Based Credentials. Accountability ★ Teachers have tied their SLT’s to Jump. Start IBC’s. ★ CTE credentials contribute to the SPS in each district in Region 2. ★ Districts are preparing students for the ACT Work. Keys Assessment. Sample SLT’s 1. At least 80% of students will meet their individual growth goal on the ACT Work. Keys Assessment as indicated below: Pretest of Level 3 = Students must earn a Silver or higher Pretest of Level 4 or 5 = Students must earn a Gold or higher Pretest of Level 6 and 7 = Students must earn a Platinum 1. At least 80% of students will earn an Advanced Statewide Industry Based Certification by scoring a scaled score of 390 on the NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Assessment.
