Regents Awards 3 l Regents Professor Service Award was established by the Board of Regents in 1996 to recognize and honor individuals at the rank of professor or equivalent who provided exemplary service as faculty l 1997 -1998 Board of Regents established the Regents Fellow Service Award to recognize outstanding achievement by the service, extension and research professionals within System agencies l Between 2004 -2005 the name of the award was changed for faculty from Regents Professor Service Award to Regents Professor Award

Regents Awards l Call for Nominations is sent by the Chancellor usually in February to CEOs, CAOs, Executive Committee, CAO administrative assistants – – l Not submitting a nomination – 4 acknowledges number of past recipients summarizes award criteria provides website address and contact information states award deadline! Must let the office of Academic Affairs know via email if your institution/agency is not submitting a nomination

Regents Awards l 5 Professor eligibility – Full-time faculty, rank of professor or equivalent

Regents Awards l 5 Professor eligibility – Full-time faculty, rank of professor or equivalent for at least five consecutive years within A&M System – Record of distinguished teaching, research or other creative and scholarly activities – Outstanding service at local, state, national and/or international level – Commitment to the university/agency or health science component

Regents Awards l 6 Fellow eligibility – Full-time senior level researcher or service professional

Regents Awards l 6 Fellow eligibility – Full-time senior level researcher or service professional (no less than 50% agency appointment) for at least five years – Record of exceptional leadership – Demonstrated high standards in developing and delivering programs and/or projects that have resulted in significant impact to the state of Texas and beyond
