Description Neutronics Refrigerant Analysis Ultima IDTM HVAC Refrigerant Analyser, (new, 2017) Ultima IDtm Refrigerant Identifier Neutronics Automotive Condition Serial No. Comment Not operational RA 0052627 Neutronics: This device was sold in 2016 and is a New Ultima ID Pro RI-700 H (this is the device we recommend the customs agencies use). If it will not power on I recommend connecting the AC power supply, found inside the case, and allowing the battery to charge for 2 hours. There will be no light to indicate charging but leave the device and AC power supply connected for this period of time. If the device will still not power on after charging then the battery likely has depleted and needs to be replaced. If this is the first time it has been powered on in nearly 2 years the Li. FE battery likely fell below an adequate charge level and began to deplete the batteries charging capabilities Fault: Identifier does not come on. The reoccurring problem seems to be the older Ultima ID RI-2004 DX series analyzers will not power on. This is likely because they were sold with a Ni. MH rechargeable battery which no longer hold a charge. These analyzers were originally designed for automotive analysis of R-12 and R-134 a ONLY. No other refrigerants should be analyzed with these devices. The devices included 12 VDC battery clips, meant to be connected to the battery inside the car to power on the devices. If the Ni. MH battery is dead and these locations do not have a 12 VDC battery then they have no way to operate the devices. In this case, if they wish to keep these units which are limited in their capabilities for refrigerant testing, they can do one of the following: • Buy a new Ni. MH battery • Buy a AC power supply to connect to a wall outlet For the NEW Ultima ID Pro RI-700 H devices that won’t power on, there Li. FE battery has likely sat uncharged below an acceptable level for too long. This will cause the batteries to deplete and no longer accept a charge. If this is the case then these devices need new Li. FE batteries. The OLD Ultima ID Pro RI-700 H devices need to be upgraded.

RTI Technologies Ultima ID Refrigerant Identifier, Neutronics Refrigerant Analysis, ID 1000 -PRO RI 2004 DXP 253000031111011/RA 0037 209 Not Working Error Message Seen as follows: " Error 1 - Unstable sensors. This could be due to poor sample flow, extreme EMI or temperature" Device was manufactured in 2011 and is only designed for R-12 and R-134 a analysis. An Error 1 is typically related to a component failure or sensing bench issue on the PCB. Send device to Neutronics for service if they want to continue to use the same machine. Better option would be to purchase a new Ultima ID Pro RI-700 H for this location which would allow for further refrigerant analysis capabilities. RI 2004 DXP 253000031111012/RA 0037 213 Working All three (3) buttons functioning No Action required. If running on a battery may need a new battery soon as Ni. MH only last so long. Since the device works well they can continue to use it or purchase a new Ultima ID Pro RI-700 H which would allow for further refrigerant analysis capabilities if not an automotive application. 25300003111 -013 Not Working How are they powering the machine? AC Power supply, battery clips or battery? Device was likely manufactured around 2011 as well. If powering it with a Ni. MH battery it may need a new battery. If they are operating the analyzer with a battery it is likely causing operational issues. Try a new battery or power supply or send device to Neutronics for service if they want to continue to use the same machine. Better option, if not an automotive application, would be to purchase a new Ultima ID Pro RI-700 H for this location which would allow for further refrigerant analysis capabilities. Ultima ID Refrigerant Identifier, Neutronics Automotive • This device was manufactured prior to 2007/This device was manufactured in 2005. , it is an automotive device used simply to analyze R-12 or R-134 a. It is not recommend for any other refrigerants. • This device was sold with a Ni. MH battery. If they are operating the analyzer on the same battery it is likely causing operational issues. Try a new battery or power supply or send device to Neutronics for service if they want to continue to use the same machine. Better option, if not an automotive application at this location, would be to purchase a new Ultima ID Pro RI-700 H for this location which would allow for further refrigerant analysis capabilities. • Typically if buttons are not compressing properly and the commands are not functioning properly then someone likely opened the device, possibly damaged something and did not close the unit properly.
Most of these analyzers are pretty old and could use service to function as new. The other option would be to these locations purchase the new Ultima ID Pro RI-700 H analyzers, which would provide more robust analyzing capabilities.
