Reflexive Verbs are things we do to ourselves
Reflexive Verbs are things we do to ourselves. They include the reflexive (se) at the end of the verb.
Example Yo (levantarse) a las seis de la mañana. 1. I underlined the Subject/Noun to determine what the SE will change to. According to the Rflx Pronoun Chart on the back. 2. I also circled the SE at the end of the verb to separate the SE from the verb. This will help you determine what type of verb it is (-AR/-ER/-IR) • Subject is YO, so my Rflx SE changes to ME. • After I separate the SE, I see that Levantar is an –AR verb, so I follow the –AR endings from (notes #6) Yo me levanto
Example Nosotros (lavarse) la cara. 1. I underlined the Subject/Noun to determine what the SE will change to. According to the Rflx Pronoun Chart on the back. 2. I also circled the SE at the end of the verb to separate the SE from the verb. This will help you determine what type of verb it is (-AR/-ER/-IR) • Subject is Nosotros, so my Rflx SE changes to nos. • After I separate the SE, I see that Lavar is an –AR verb, so I follow the –AR endings from (notes #6) Nosotros nos lavamos
