REFLECTION QUESTIONS MOLLY FUENTES PERIOD: 2

REFLECTION QUESTION 1 & 2 1. ) How does your product use or challenge

REFLECTION QUESTION 1 & 2 1. ) How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues ? My group and I, while making/editing, challenged conventions by making our product have an “old time” effect. We made it look like it was filmed a long time ago, to make it mysterious and creepy. We also added in the song “pumped up kicks” by Foster the people to make it slow and intense to go with the killers next moves. Our product definitely shows how everyone must be cautious and aware of everything and everyone. It shows how that you can’t fully trust anyone because they may turn their back on you at any time. 2. ) How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed in real media text? Our product gets the audience engaged because of how mysterious it is. We purposely put one of the members in the group of friends in a mask (the killer) , to keep the audience guessing of who the Killer might be. The killer was dressed in all black when none of the friends were beforehand, so that’s what really keeps the audience wondering. Foreshadowing the killers next moves and showing how the friends are killed also keeps the audiences attention and minds thinking.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS 3 & 4 3. ) How did your production skills develop throughout

REFLECTION QUESTIONS 3 & 4 3. ) How did your production skills develop throughout this project? Creating this project definitely took a lot of time and effort but I’d say my production skills have definitely improved. Before this, I never knew how time consuming it would be. It brought out my creative side and I had to think a lot and figure out where everything had to go , what angle I had to do and where I was going to do it. I had to learn how to be more organized and how to properly communicate with my group. It took a lot of different takes to get it right, but at the end it all worked out. 4. ) How did you integrate Technologies- software, hardware and online- in this project ? My group and I used the camera and tripod equipment that was thankfully lent to us, in order to record our music video. With the footage that we took, we had to dump it onto the computer where the editing took place. Before editing, we had to download our song for the video, which was downloaded on the computer as well through a You. Tube to mp 3 converter. Without these technologies, this would have been impossible to put together. We saved lots of time with all of this, to where we all were able to put this together in a short amount of time.
