REFERRAL Receive referral Patient goes to Emergency Room Referral indicates leukocoria: • Schedule appointment in resident emergency clinic INITIAL CONTACT If RB suspected, inform RB Team If possible, see patient in clinic Schedule staging EUA Referral indicates RB: Inform RB Team Schedule staging EUA Notify family of appointment and NPO WORK-UP Complete Staging EUA Inform RB Team of diagnosis Develop plan of care and establish research eligibility Discuss plan with family and provide resources Provide support to family Enter data in e. CCRB Request MRI if patient has not had one TREATMENT OPTIONS Enucleation: Arrange surgery appointment Enter prep for case Arrange for post-op bed Contact family POST-OP 48 hr post surgery assess patient, remove patch, assess socket Provide information to family about post-op care, prosthetic and Ocularist Port Insertion or IAC: IGT provide surgical date Enter orders and inform oncology team Enter treatment request and indicate procedure required Arrange extended stay bed Contact family with appointment and instructions Complete Post-op Process: Assess patient daily Provide family support Ensure patient is ready for discharge and input discharge orders Book future appointment
