Reference Materials Hexavalent Chromium CrVI in Acrylonitrile Butadiene
Reference Materials Hexavalent Chromium (Cr(VI)) in Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene copolymer (ABS) The RM's CI RM HC 10 L ~ CI RM HC 10 H are intended for controlling the precision of analysis and confirming the validity of analytical methods or instruments during the quantitative determination of Cr(VI) in ABS or similar polymers. European Community (EC) directive (EU Directive 2002/95/EC “Restriction of Hazardous Substances”, Ro. HS) has defined specific limits for heavy metals in plastics. These sets of ABS have been designed for determining Cr(VI) to check for compliance of these limits. The property value for Cr(VI) has determined by our new extraction method, which is “organic-assisted alkaline extraction”. Our new extraction method was proposed as a new sample preparation method for the determination of Cr(VI) in IEC 62321 to the International Electrotechnical Commission’s Technical Committee 111(IEC TC 111). A new edition of IEC 62321 is currently in progress and our new method is expected to be reflected in it.
