Thanks for joining our home school activity! Green Calgary will be sharing sustainable activities for you to enjoy from home. Each week these activities will be based on a different theme. Our theme for week three is: Reducing and Reusing! This week our activities are focused on outdoor learning.

In the past few weeks we have looked at how to divert waste away

In the past few weeks we have looked at how to divert waste away from the landfill by using our green and blue carts. This week we will explore how to reduce the amount of garbage going into ALL of our Did you know? carts! Diverting waste from the landfill is important to minimise the amount of waste entering the landfill. Waste in the landfill does not break down or decompose. Diverted waste can potentially be recycled.
