An Eco message from a school in Ecuador How does your school take care of the environment? Is it the same or different to the message in Ecuador? Make a poster about caring for the environment.
When I hear, I forget, When I see, I remember When I do, I understand. (School motto in an Ecuadorian high school) These are pupils from an Ecuadorian school learning how to plant and grow fruit and vegetables. The skills learnt are then shared with their families and communities.

Recycling in the UK These recycling bins are for cans, glass and paper. Why do you think they are put into separate bins? Can you think of how these would be recycled? What do you think they then recycle them for? These recycling bins were found in N. Ireland, near Giant’s Causeway!
How green is your school? • Look around your classroom. What do you Reduce, Reuse, Recycle? • Do a survey and find out if you have a green school.
In your class you can … • Reduce – Turn off the lights and use less paper • Reuse – Make junk models out of cardboard and old containers • Recycle – Compost your fruit and use it for your school garden. It will keep the worms happy!
How green is your home? Do you use the green bags to recycle at home? What can you put in them? Make your parents promise to recycle!
