Redemption Through the Introduction: The Need for a Redemption Plan Scriptures God’s kingship and authority over mankind was given to Adam in the Garden of Eden but was subverted to Satan because of Adam’s disobedience. Because of this disobedience, man and God’s entire creation is said to be in a “fallen state”. It’s the state of decay that leads to death, and it’s a condition that can only be remedied by God regained control by becoming man, living amongst us, and living without sin. Now Christ is the ruler not just of today but also in the future.

Summary Redemption Through the • Scriptures • We are all connected with the first Adam (the natural and legal head of the human race) as guilty sinners, and so are included in the death sentence. However, all who are connected with the last Adam, Jesus, through repentance and faith in His redeeming work, are forgiven, received the free gift of righteousness, and have passed from death into life. It is only by God that the creation of God can be restored. It is only God that can restore man, and only God who can defeat death. For what man has the power to restore creation to it’s original condition? What man has the ability to remove evil from all mankind? And what man is there amongst us (or that has ever lived) is able to overcome death? There is none but Jesus, the Son of God.
