THEME DRESS DAYS 1. Theme dress days are NOT FREE DRESS DAYS! All students not participating are to be in school uniform. 2. Students who are participating must follow theme guidelines listed for that theme day.
Monday, October 24 – “Red Out” 1. Students wear Red Clothing. 2. Majority of clothing item must be red. 3. Non-red clothing items must comply with uniform policy.
Tuesday, October 25 Don’t Let Drugs Mix You Up 1. Students must wear mismatched clothes.
Wednesday, October 26 “HAIR’s” to a Drug Free Life 1. Students may wear in a crazy style or fix their hair up crazy, nonpermanent hair paint/color is permitted. 2. Hair color and style must be done before coming to school: 1. Leave all hair products at home. 1. i. e. hair gel, spray, color, etc. 3. All hair color must be washable and non-permanent and be removed by Thursday.
Thursday, OCTOBER 27 – “Follow Your Dreams Don’t Do Drugs” 1. Students may wear pajamas to school. 2. No see through, sheer, tank top or spaghetti strap PJs may be worn. 3. All pajama clothing must be complete with top and bottoms, no mixing with non pajama clothing items. 4. No sweat pants or tops may be worn. 5. No slippers, stuffed animals, or blankets.
Friday, October 28 – “I’m to Bright for Drugs” 1. Students may wear bright colored clothing. 2. All other clothing items must comply with uniform policy.

All teachers and offices are invited to participate. Teachers any one of your periods may enter the contest. The students in that period will be awarded the winning prizes. 1. Decorations must be viewable from the hall or walk way, of building 4000 for judging. 2. The door must be able to open and close normally. 3. The door decoration must include the Red Ribbon Week Theme of YOLO. BE DRUG FREE. 4. The door decoration must promote a drug free life style or have an anti-drug, alcohol or tobacco use theme 5. Doors must be decorated between Thursday, October 20 and Friday, October 28. Doors must be completed by 5 th period on Friday, October 28 and will be judged 6 th period. Judging Criteria 1. Use of the YOLO. BE DRUG FREE. Red Ribbon Week Theme 2. Originality and Creativity of drug free or anti-drug message 3. Use of Materials The Prizes
1. Your design must include the Red Ribbon Week Theme of YOLO. BE DRUG FREE. The word Lathrop must also be included in your design. 2. Your design may appear on the back or front of the shirt, please indicate on your entry where the design is to appear. 3. Your design may not exceed 11” (inches) wide and 12” (inches) high and can include up to 4 colors. 4. One design per entry. However, participants may enter as many entries as they want. 5. Your design must be wholly original and promote a drug free message. 6. Entries must be submitted to Mr. Raya by 3: 30 P. M. Thursday, November 10. Entries may be submitted on hard copy (paper) or by e-mail to paul. raya@sausd. us. Submissions can also be hand drawn or designed using a design program such as Photoshop or Illustrator. 7. All entries become the property of Lathrop PAL. 8. The winners will be announced during College Prep on November 16 th.
Ø All winning designs will be featured on Lathrop’s web site. Ø 1 st Place design will be featured on the official Lathrop PAL Red Ribbon TShirt and the designer will receive two T-Shirts. Ø 2 nd & 3 rd Place designers will receive one T-Shirt each.
