Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. - National • 5 Point Programmatic Thrust: o o o Educational Development Economic Development International Awareness and Involvement Physical and Mental Health Political Awareness and Involvement • The sorority currently has 1, 000+ collegiate and alumnae chapters located in the United States, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica and the Republic of Korea. • We are the largest predominately black sorority, with more than 300, 000 initiated, college-educated women.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. New Orleans Alumnae • Chartered on June 20, 1936 • Membership has grown from its humble and forceful 11 members to 600 informed and socially responsible members. • New Orleans Alumnae chapter acknowledges the importance of community-based organizations and renders support through networking and partnerships with others. • The legacy of the New Orleans Alumnae Chapter is “Community Service from the Heart. ”
