Operation Issues • We dumped 165 E 10 beam due to the MI-access to look at Lam 52 klixon fault • RR 129 kicker was top off with fluorinert during the MI access • R: FQC devices errors has build-up close to +/-10000(alarm limit), they were reset to 0 during Monday’s shutdown • Lost 100 E 10 of stash around 21: 15 last night with no cause found • There were 2 transfers from MI to RR with low efficiency(05/19 02: 08 2 nd transfer, 41%, 05/20 01: 55 1 st transfer , 68%) • Lost a transfer to recycler due to KPS 2 A pre-fire failed to fire. Also lost 17 E 10 of stash around 7: 35 am Wendsday morning due to KPS 2 A. • We dumped 218 E 10 beam due to the MI quad replacement

Cooling rate measurement with 350 E 10 beam (Lionel). • without stochastic cooling (but in otherwise our normal conditions, i. e. beam at 2 mm and so on) • in 3 different bunch lengths (nominal (308 bckts), nominal - 60 buckets and nominal + 60 or 120 buckets). • take data (flying wire and Schottky) for 30 minutes each time. In the case of the nominal bunch length, it would be parasitic. For the two other cases, the following transfer from the Accumulator would have to be delayed some (by max 30 minutes) since the beam would have to be squeezed or expanded before making the measurement and needs to wait to reach the appropriate beam conditions. 2. Drag rate measurement before the summer shutdown (Sasha&Lionel). • • to try (one more time) to understand the reason why we do not obtain higher drag (and cooling) rates for higher electron beam currents. ~8 hours total is needed , beams needs to be scraped to 1. 0 E 10
