Be A Scout Tips Include a brief description. What makes your Troop unique? Consider adding meeting days and times, but not necessarily an exact location. What area do you serve? Have a point of contact. Be cautious with online registration! Our Council does NOT currently have a way to accept payments online!
Be Welcoming—Make a Great First Impression! • Greet the prospective Scout – Make sure SPL/PLC have a plan • Greet the prospective Parents • Focus on fit 7
Be Flexible—Recruiting is a Year Round Activity • Have applications on hand • Pro-rate fees – Council worksheet for 2019 is here • Remember insurance is going up! – Have a similar unit product • Never turn a prospect away – Refer to other units 8
