Reception home learning WB: 11/1/2021 - Choose one activity a day Art - The Three Little Pigs art Using toilet roll tubes, make three little pigs and a wolf. Can you use scissors to cut ears and legs? Can you glue paper for clothes? Use them to retell the story of The Three little pigs. Geography - Maps Draw a treasure map for around your house. Make sure to draw the objects around your house. Get your grown up to hide an object and mark an X on your map so you can find the hidden object! Science - Materials Smooth rough Strong weak Hard soft stretchy Collect a range of materials from around the home (plastic, metal, wood, stone, glass and fabric) and place inside a bag. Children to feel a material and describe it. . History- When we were a baby Find a photo of yourself as a baby. Talk with a grown up. What could you do as baby? What couldn’t you do as a baby? What could you do that’s the same as what you can do now? What did you do that different to what you can do now? Baking Choose a recipe and help a grown up to bake it. Can you be in charge of the measuring? Can you read the recipe book and have a go at reading the measurements correctly?
