Studies and Tuning • Debuncher Momentum Cooling Systems – Gain Ramps – determined no affect for 2. 2 sec cycle – Double Notch Filter • Not achieving desired notch depth • Thinking about new notch filter equalizer – Individual band equalizers - designed first; await chance to install • Accumulator Stacktail System – Delta Kicker to compensate for transverse heating by system • Some quick gains seen • “Centering” of 2 kicker tanks achieved the same effect; need to do all 10 • May still get benefit with new equalizers • Accumulator Transverse Cooling Systems – Individual band equalizers – first should be ready soon • AP 2/Debuncher Optics – More circulating beam by moving Debuncher tunes • Decreases Debuncher cooling effectiveness – reverted to design tunes – More beam into Debuncher with some AP 2 optics changes - ongoing • Mechanics of transfers out of Accumulator – Rapid transfers covered last All Experimenters’ Meeting
