Mackie, Boyd, Shafer-Landau Summary- Moral realists believe that moral judgments are objectively true as they exist in the universe as properties just like other brute facts/ scientific facts EXPRESSIVISM/ ANTI- REALISM: Key facts- The first wave took place in the early part of the 20 th Century when Philosophers started to move away from realism and error theory. Scholars- R. M. Hare, A. J. Ayer, Simon Blackburn, Allan Gibbard Summary- This article discusses the two types of expressivism which are classical and explanatory. It also discusses the first and second wave of expressivism. Expressivism is the belief that there are no moral absolutes and moral propositions express an approval or disproval of something based on society at the time.
