THE HIGHER RATE OF A STUDENT'S FLUENCY THE MORE LIKELY THEY ARE TO COMPREHEND WHAT THEY ARE READING.
WHEN EVALUATING A STUDENT'S FLUENCY THERE ARE THREE THINGS YOU SHOULD WATCH FOR: Accuracy is the amount of words correct subtracted by the amount of words incorrect, or miscues. Rate is the speed at which a student reads words correctly. Rate is typically measured by the number of words read correctly in a minute. Prosody is the rhythm and tone that one has when speaking or reading
