VIETNAMESE DIASPORA Most Vietnamese people, who fled the country because they were discriminated, mistreated under communist regime. They were former military, or government officers of the Republic of Vietnam. This group of people carried with them the scars of mistreatment from their homeland, how can they forget what they had gone through?

An example of a people in this group such as a high school teacher

An example of a people in this group such as a high school teacher drafted into RVN Army, and served in a non-combat unit. When the war ended, like any other former officers of the RVN, he ended up in several re-education camps.

His ex wife denied him, and together with her new husband did not allow him to enter the house. He had no choice but to live on the street.

They react strongly against the communist regime, which has been accused of dictatorship, cruelty in suppressing any Vietnamese or movement groups that opposed to the regime such as: Pro-Democracy, Freedom of Religious, Freedom of Speech, and Press. The Vietnamese Overseas believes the fall of the communist regime would bring democracy, freedom, happiness, and prosperity to the nation and the Vietnamese people.
