ABSTRACT: The use of numbers is really important in our lives, it does not matter what intellectual or scientific field we are studying, we can use them to several purposes even to get fun, to know these uses will help us to understand our world. Key words: cardinal numbers, Fibonacci’s sequence

OBJECTIVE: • At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify the importance of numbers in our daily life, how we can use them to do daily activities and/or get fun.

� To identify items • To buy and sell things � To know how to use different kinds of currencies.

The cardinal numbers are:

But, Who said this phrase?

Leonardo Fibonacci Do you know him? No? He was an Italian mathematician who demonstrated that every object, animal, flower, even a human is formed by a specific sequence. It is called Fibonacci sequence and is formed in the following way: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34…

0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34… The next number is found by adding up the two numbers before it. Examples: The 2 is found by adding the two numbers before it (1+1) Similarly, the 3 is found by adding the two numbers before it (1+2), And the 5 is (2+3), and so on! The next number in the sequence above is 21+34 = 55 It is that simple!

Think about yourself. You should have: � � � 5 fingers on each hand 5 toes on each foot 2 arms 2 legs 2 eyes 2 ears That is Fibonacci’s sequence!!!
