Procedures Review • If you are absent, it is your responsibility to make up missing assignments • The basket on the back desk has any papers from the days past, up to a week • IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE BLOG WHEN YOU ARE ABSENT – Most work is add to the BLOG that you are able to check before returning to class • Missing assignments will now be given an “M” for missing in Synergy
Procedures Review – Behavior • For the 3 rd and 4 th Quarter we will be trying something new in class • If you are doing something that you should not be (wandering, talking, tardy, ect) your initials will be written on the white board • You will have the rest of the class to get yourself back on track • If you are able to self correct and get back on task, your initials will be erased, and nothing will happen • If you are not able to self correct, you may see “check marks” go next to your initials • If you initials remain at the end of class, this will turn into a Synergy Mark
Geography BEE • Today we will be competing in the National Geographic School Bee for 2017 • We will have one winner per class period • Class winners will compete against each other for 1 top winner for my class • This student will compete against other top S. S. students from across the school to get our one representative • This one representative from Lovinggood will get the chance to compete at the State level and beyond
Agenda Time • I am available Monday AM/PM, Wednesday AM/PM and Friday AM for tutoring – There is no 7 th Grade S. S. tutoring on Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday afternoons • We will be covering African Geo (environmental issues and Cultures), African History, and African Gov/Econ this Quarter • 1/11 – Environmental Issues Check • 1/20 – Ethnic Groups Check • 1/25 – Unit Test on African Geography
