Is able to clearly convey intended meaning; accomplishes task. Text Type (Words, sentences, paragraphs, etc. ) Writer uses well-organized paragraphs consisting of complete sentences. Impact (Originality & depth) Letter demonstrates outstanding originality & depth. Comprehensibility (Do errors prevent comprehension? ) Errors in spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, grammar, etc. do not interfere with comprehension. Language Control (Grammar) Writer consistently and accurately uses grammatical structures studied in class. What does it mean to “accomplish the task”? • Write a complete letter, including appropriate greeting & closing in Spanish • Demonstrate your ability to describe yourself, your family & your life at school to your “pen pal” • Demonstrate your ability to ask questions of your “pen pal”
