RAYMONIQUE’S E-PORTFOLIO
CASA of Camden County Volunteers Location: Haddon Township 37 Municipalities Consistent with National CASA Association CHAPTER TWO: Agency Context
CHAPTER THREE: Ethical Competence “The human service professional’s responsibility to the profession. Professionals act with integrity, recognizing the limits of their expertise, seeking consultation, and making referrals as necessary. ” Sexual Molestation Situation The situation was able to be resolved because I understood my ethical responsibility.
CHAPTER FOUR: Supervision
“WISE FORETHOUGHT CAN REMOVE OBSTACLES BEFORE THEY APPEAR” Portion of July 7, 2013 To my surprise, I received an e-mail from Shyra stating that she changed the name of the “Advocates of Hope” incentive program to “CASA for Children Incentive Program to keep the branding of the organization”. I was surprised, disappointed, confused, upset, calm and finally understanding. I went through all these emotions because I did not receive any stipulations when given the project. I understand the significance of keeping with the branding so I have now come to terms with the name change. I think one of the emotions that I experienced was upset because she did not give me the branding guideline from the beginning. As I am learning to think more and more like an executive director, I am also being mindful of how I can enrich an intern’s experience. When I give a special project to an intern I will be clear of the expectations and guidelines.
Individuals (DRENK, CCPFC), Groups (Victory House), Families (FPS, CCPFC), and Communities (CCPFC, SOGBC) Least Experience with Communities STRENGTH: As the text book states I am a good active listener because I am an attentive and focused listener. IMPROVE: Community Involvement If employed by my internship I would engage the community more. I would promote awareness of the organization, as well as, utilize the community to obtain more volunteers.
