U < Positive funding decision for AAO by Australian Government 2010 -2020 < Revised Mo. U required. First draft to be discussed in September t t Terms similar to existing Mo. U More specific on performance goals < RAVE intent: continue operation toward 1 M spectra (mid 2012? ) 9

Status of UKST hardware 11 June 2009 RAVE collaboration meeting Padova <6 weeks loss of operation in 2007 owing to asbestos removal < Poor availability of fibres for 2005 -2008 (average ~100 fibres), in particular in 2008 < Fibre quality deteriorating < FP 2 now beyond repair < Successful FP 3 commissioning in Mar 09 < FP 1 refurbished to 100 fibres < FP 2 under remodelling, new fibre bundle < FP 1 remodelling after FP 2 rework is completed < 3 fully equipped FP by 2010 10
